Combining Viagra with the nitrate medications can cause a sudden drop in the blood pressure that can lad to many complications such as dizziness, stroke or even heart attack.

Some of the other drugs that do not go along with Viagra are:

• Erythromycin and Clarithromycin, which are antibiotics
• HIV medications like ritonavir and indinavir
• anti-fungal medications like itraconazole and ketoconazole
• phenobarbital (Luminal)
• cimetidine
• rifabutin or rifampin
• carbamazepine or phenytoin

If you are taking any of these medications, your doctor may not prescribe Viagra or he may go for dosage adjustment.
